I want to plan a trip with SlackTide Charters, but I am not sure when is the best time to go.
You can catch fish any time of the year; however some fish are caught more frequently during certain months and peak seasons in St. Augustine area. Feel free to call us and we would be happy to share the best times to book a charter.

What do I need to provide?
We provide everything you need to fish: bait, tackle, fishing license, First Mate, and fish cleaning. You will want to bring sun screen, a hat, food and drinks plus and of course a camera.
Can I bring my own rod and reel?
Absolutely!
Do I need fishing experience?
No, we love teaching others about our sport and coaching you through it all. We have many people who have never fished before, but leave with a new understanding and an unforgettable experience!
What can I expect to catch?
Fishing always varies from season to season. Be sure to check out my Facebook page for updated info.
Are the fish edible?
Most of the fish you will catch are edible, and are yours to keep. Any fish caught that are not edible, we release or use it for bait.
What if I catch a really big fish?
If you catch a big one, let the deckhand know you want to mount it. We have an awesome taxidermist that does fantastic work!
I want to go fishing, but I can’t find enough people to go. Can you help?
Sure can! We do make up charters.
Do you provide bathroom facilities on the boats?
Yes, we do offer limited restroom facilities (Ask us for more info).
Is there a website that shows the marine weather?
wunderground.com shows the marine weather for our area, you can also look at real time data from our sea bouy weather station. The sea buoy is about 40 nautical miles east, northeast of St. Augustine.
Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
Of course you can!
How many people can I bring?
Up to 6 people allowed during a charter.
What is the minimum age allowed on the charter?
We love kids! However, for the safety of all we have a minimum age of 5 years old on our trips.
